Cordoba

View of Cordoba with the Mezquita-Catedral in the distance.

Built in the 1st century BC, the Roman bridge has a main structure
dating from the Middle Ages. It has sixteen arches, four pointed
and twelve semicircular. In the center of the bridge there is a
16th-century sculpture of Saint Raphael by Bernabé Gómez del Río.

The 54-meter-tall Torre Campanario of the Mezquita-Catedral was
originally built as the mosque's minaret in the 10th century. After the
Christian conquest in 1236, it was transformed into a bell tower, with
its appearance transformed by Renaissance and Baroque adornments.

A courtyard with orange trees is located between the
bell tower and the main entrance to the Mezquita.

The Mezquita is Cordoba's Moorish-style Catholic cathedral, with
a hall of arched pillars and a basilica with frescos on what has
been the site of the Visigoth Basilica of San Vicente and a Mosque.

Roman temple, built of marble, started during the
reign of Emperor Claudius (41–54 CE) and completed
in the reign of Emperor Domitian (81–96 CE).

The Plaza de la Corredera was once used as a bullring.
Designed in the style of the city squares of Castille, it is
square with arched porticos running around the ground floor.
