Cher Docteur pharmaceutical promotional post card sent by Laboritoires La Biomarine headquartered in Dieppe, France
as part of a marketing campaign launched in 1947 to sell marine-derived products such as Ionyl, Marinol, and Plasmarine.

The post card depicts a salt merchant in a west African market. It is franked with 80 centimes "Kouande Weaving, Dahomey, " 1.20 franc "Crocodile and Hippopotamus, Ivory Coast" and 3 franc "Peul Woman of Dienne" definitives of 1947 with a "13 in Circle" cancellation on two of the stamps.
