Belarus Salt Stamp
Belarusan hospitality is depicted on the EUROPA
"Visit Belarus" stamps issued on March 12, 2012.

Belarus Salt Stamp
The tradition of serving salt to guests can be seen with the
placement of a small dish with salt on the loaf of bread.

Thank you to Victor Afanasiev for pointing out this "salt stamp" and explaining from Belarus, "It is a tradition here to meet dear guests with bread and salt. A small cup with salt is placed on a round bread loaf and handed to the arriving guests. . . . here, salt shall be always present on a festive table." In 2012 Belarus, with 2 176 650 metric tonnes of salt production, ranked 21st in world salt production, behind Pakistan and ahead of Bulgaria.
