Launched in 1920, S.S. San Bruno, at 3,627 tonnes, sailed under the British flag until 1931 when it was transferred to Panamanian registry. In 1942 it was transferred to the control of the American War Shipping Administration and in 1947 it was sold to the Caribbean Land & SS Company (a subsidiary of the United Fruit Company). It subsequently changed hands several times sailing under the names Somalia, Genale and Friggo America before being scrapped in Brazil in 1973.
